Our AMPERTEC^® Tungsten Hexachloride is a highly reactive form of tungsten used for catalytic processes and in the semiconductor industry for metal deposition.

Tungsten Hexachloride enables Ring-Opening Metathesis Polymerization (ROMP), a process step in the production of e.g. high-performance rubber additives, two-component injection molding plastic or syntheses of block copolymers.

In the field of integrated circuits, WCl₆ is employed for metal coating using ALD/CVD, sometimes utilizing organometallic precursors derived from WCl₆. It is applied in highly precise Atomic Layer Etching (ALE) processes.
